Salary: €90,000 – €110,000

A large, mature security function is expanding its offensive security team and adding a senior penetration tester to lead application and platform assessments across a wide technology estate. The team focuses on proactive testing, modelling attacker behaviour, and helping engineering groups remediate weaknesses in a practical, collaborative way.

It’s a high-visibility role with exposure to a broad mix of web, mobile, API and internal applications in a complex enterprise environment.

The Role

You’ll lead penetration testing engagements, end-to-end scoping, manual testing, reporting and presenting results to engineering and product teams.

Primary Responsibilities

• Conduct manual application, API and mobile penetration tests
• Model attacker behaviour and replicate real-world techniques
• Analyse findings, build exploit proofs and document results clearly
• Present outputs to engineering and security stakeholders
• Provide guidance on remediation and secure design
• Contribute to tooling improvements and internal research efforts
• Collaborate with wider security teams to strengthen overall controls
• Stay current with emerging attack patterns, frameworks and vulnerabilities

Skills & Experience

• 5+ years in penetration testing / ethical hacking roles
• Strong manual testing capability across OWASP Top 10 categories
• Experience with common security tools (Burp Suite, Kali, nmap, Wireshark, etc.)
• Good understanding of authentication, authorisation and application security mechanics
• Ability to write or script in at least one language (Python, JavaScript, Java, etc.)
• Familiarity with web technologies (REST, JSON, SOAP) and modern frameworks
• Strong reporting, communication and presentation skills
• Relevant certifications (OSCP, GWAPT, GPEN, etc.) are advantageous
